Norfolk Coastal Bolt-hole
Client wanted to transform a very dated 2 bed maisonette which had been uninhabited for over 3 years, into a comfortable and stylish coastal bolt-hole. Mirrors and glass have been used to full effect to create a feeling of light and space.
The entire interior of the apartment was removed from front door to eaves and the layout was re-designed for two bedrooms and a bathroom to first floor and open plan kitchen family room to second floor to enjoy the magnificent open country views which are unusual for coastal Norfolk. A fake chimney breast was installed incorporated a TV space and an electric fire to provide a focal point and a welcome heat source for cold days. A light reflective kitchen and mirror splash backs was sourced and installed to visually maximise the room size. To add character to an occasional use space, artwork was sourced and installed. Full height mirror wardrobes were designed to visually maximise the room size and bring outdoor views into the bedroom.
Show-stopping art features balanced with high ceilings were installed to introduce character and colour to symmetrical rooms.
