Overton, Hampshire

Project brief:
A six bedroom Georgian farmhouse in an isolated part of Hampshire. The brief was to provide a comfortable family home for teenage children providing a large light kitchen for endless cooking to satisfy the appetite of teenagers and their expanding groups of friends and more sophisticated areas for the parents.

Project description:
An extension was designed respectful to architect of original building and its surroundings. A large full height room was designed as a contrast to the lowish ceilings of the main house. Huge windows were incorporated into the design scheme to maximise appreciation of the beautiful far-reaching views of the surrounding countryside and for maximum light, all contrasting with smallish windows of the main house. 

Project outcome:
Lunch parties, dinner parties, weekend house parties, charity functions became the norm!
