A six bedroom Georgian farmhouse in an isolated part of Hampshire. The brief was to provide a comfortable family home for teenage children providing a large light kitchen for endless cooking to satisfy the appetite of teenagers and their expanding groups of friends and more sophisticated areas for the parents.
An extension was designed respectful to architect of original building and its surroundings. A large full height room was designed as a contrast to the lowish ceilings of the main house. Huge windows were incorporated into the design scheme to maximise appreciation of the beautiful far-reaching views of the surrounding countryside and for maximum light, all contrasting with smallish windows of the main house.
Lunch parties, dinner parties, weekend house parties, charity functions became the norm!
