    My husband and I recently bought a house to renovate but with no previous home development experience so we approached Patricia to help us with the process. Initially Patricia joined us for a site survey, which was really useful as she had a lot of ideas to bring to the table as well as practical points which we had overlooked. After the survey we sat down to agree the scope of works, budget and interior design. Patricia then sent us a presentation of her vision for the home, which perfectly captured our taste.

    We were on a tight timeline as we were expecting a baby in a few months, this was no problem for Patricia as she has a flexible and professional workforce to call upon. Within a matter of days the renovations were underway and 6 weeks later the works were complete. We were kept informed throughout with any decisions we needed to make, but Patricia liaised directly with the contractors which took a lot of stress and work away from us. Patricia also kept us regularly updated with a gantt chart which included contact details for each contractor and details of when they would be working on site, estimates and a payment schedule. This allowed us to plan our finances accordingly and ensured we didn’t go over budget. Patricia was always just a phone call away if we had any questions and we found her expertise were invaluable. She made our renovation an enjoyable and smooth process, even within a very tight deadline. We would not hesitate to use Patricia Cox Design again and would recommend to anyone.

    Throughout the renovation, Patricia was personally engaged and available for our emails and video conferences. Patricia worked with our Canadian designers and plans. Patricia engaged all local trades as required, and oversaw their work on a daily basis. Patricia met with and assured our neighbours of the work being done, and alleviated their concerns of noise and waste disposal. Patricia was our representative in London, and we were greatly benefited by her calm and reassuring demeanor. Patricia provided regular accounting for work done and materials purchased. Where possible, Patricia was able to employ her designer discount to our benefit. Patricia provided design assistance, particularly with a view to maintaining the character and charm of the flat.

    Patricia provided numerous suggestions on how to accommodate and implement our Canadian designers, and recommended and acquired suitable local UK materials and fixtures. She advised us on what elements in the flat could be retained, and what needed to be replaced or upgraded. She acted as our purchasing agent to purchase all materials, including tiles, bathroom fittings, electrical switches and fixtures, lighting and wood flooring.

    We had a very satisfactory experience using Patricia's interior design expertise during the rebuilding of an old farm cottage starting in 2016. The project resulted in a property which was 3 times the size of the old and we needed advice on how best to re-commission and furnish some of the rooms. One challenge was to achieve an outcome which matched our desire for a country style interior within what became effectively a new house. We needed to make use of furniture acquired over the course of many years including heirlooms and other items which were not necessarily well suited in their new situation.

    Patricia demonstrated immediate understanding of our requirements and proved able to very effectively discern where to position our thoughts on all the possibilities. She had contacts, experience and know-how without which we could have made many costly mistakes. Without her input we would not have achieved what, for us, is the best and we think most elegant house we have been privileged to live in. This was our first experience with an interior design consultant and the outcome, 2 years later, was everything we might have expected.

    Only wish we had met Patricia earlier.

    I am delighted to provide a reference for Patricia Cox Design. We instructed Patricia to suggest fabrics for curtains in four different rooms of our flat (two of which were our children’s rooms) and then have the curtains made up and fitted. Patricia put a lot of thought into the style of our flat and the purposes of the rooms needing curtains. We wanted to be given a small, carefully chosen selection of fabrics from which to make our choices and the samples Patricia provided would all have worked extremely well. Patricia then organised to have the curtains made up and fitted. We are delighted with all four sets. They look wonderful, the workmanship is of very high quality and the fitter was efficient and polite.

    We wouldn’t hesitate to use Patricia Cox Design again in the future.

    I would like to recommend Patricia Cox Interiors for her excellent work and service which we experienced 3 years ago when her company designed, installed and project managed our replacement curtain requirement. We had chosen a very delicate satin sheer fabric with a large repeat for our window dressings and the result was outstanding.

    Patricia came to our house, took accurate measurements and conveyed this information to her curtain makers who did an excellent job in finishing the curtains properly, matching the repeat, etc. Her installers did a superb job in fitting these curtains, supervised by Patricia and we have been very pleased with the finished product and the service Patricia provided. I have worked for George Smith, a leading manufacturer of high quality upholstered furniture, for the last 6 years and we work with the leading UK & International designers who specify our products. We are used to dealing with very professional and demanding design clients and I can recommend Patricia and her company highly for her knowledge and professionalism.

    I cannot rate Patricia Cox highly enough. When we moved house I gave her the job of sorting out all the required curtains and blinds throughout. Not only was she extremely clever in coming up with ideas she was also very resourceful in helping me to reuse some fabrics from our old house. She is very current with her ideas but also is very good at working with the traditional setting too. From start to finish she keeps you informed of costs and ideas and the finished product is exceptional. She deserves my high praise.
